Welcome to our website. We are Sherri and Aaron Jones. We live just 14 miles north of Memphis where we raise show quality Nigerian Dwarf Goats that are double registered with the American Goat Society and the Nigerian Dwarf Goat Association. They can also be registered with the American Dairy Goat Association. Nigerians are kept for showing, milking, and as companion animals. If you have come to our website wanting to learn more about our goats, go to the Nigerian Dwarf Goats page. This will tell you the history of our herd and our sales policy as well as herd management practices. You need to read all this if you are interested in buying a goat. You can also go down to the bottom of this page and click on any of the links to go to the individual goat pages. |

We moved out to the
country in late 1997, when on a weekend drive, we
passed Sherri's aunt and uncle’s old house, and it was for sale. Sadly, they
have both been deceased for several years. But we are able to relive fond family
memories here.
We moved here with just our tortoises, cockatoos, a few leopard geckos, 2 rabbits, an iguana, a cat and 3 dogs. But our menagerie of animals quickly grew. We have wanted goats and llamas since 1989, when we were volunteers in the children’s petting zoo at Zoo Atlanta. Our first true farm animals were Pygmy goats in 1998. Then came the Nigerian Dwarf Goats in 1999. We now have about seventy Nigerians, around 10 chickens, 10 dogs, 1 cat, 2 miniature horses, and 2 mini pot-bellied pigs. |
|
| We certainly allow visitors, but please be aware that Sherri works long hours, usually being gone 12 hour plus days, and then needing to come home and feed animals. She is a veterinary technician and has been at the same animal hospital for thirteen years. It is hard to reach us by phone, so please email first. We don't mind long emails at all, but we don't have much time for long phone calls. We update the website often, so please keep checking back with us. |
