| This
doe is staying very small like her dam, but has nice length of
body and very nice width and depth. She is a treasure to us as well as
Blossom. They were not separated except for a couple of weeks when she was
bred to BB. She seemed lost now that Blossom has passed. There are 6 finished champions in her immediate pedigree. See her dam, Blossom, on
our Reference Does Pages. Blossom has an incredible udder and will to
milk. We have never
been able to milk a doe so easily or get so much milk from one. She
readily accepted Dolly's buck kid when Dolly was unable to feed him due to
mastitis. She will be bred to Werewolf for a Sept. 2012 kidding.

think it is once in a blue moon that you get a polled and blue-eyed doe.
At least there's
been only one for me. And to
think, this doe is not only blue-eyed and polled, but also has extremely
correct conformation and has a beautifully shaped
and attached udder with great capacity and is super friendly.
At her most recent show, where she won GCH Dry Doe twice, the two judges commented that she exhibits perfect dairy character with all the correct dairy angles because of her length of body and depth of body and rear leg angulation. They said she has a perfect front end assembly including shoulders. She stands on very correct feet and legs. At her first show, she won Reserve Champion Junior Doe and was described by the judge as having "amazing" dairy character from her head to her feet. He said she was the most dairy goat he had put his hands on all day. There are six finished champions in her immediate pedigree. She is very special to me and won't be sold unless we get out of goats. For a July 2012 kidding, she will be bred to Flying Dutchman. |

| Dragonfly is a super stylish, refined, very feminine doe with great dairy character and angulation. She is very long bodied with nice width, but less depth of body than her dam. She stands on correct feet and legs. Dragonfly has a very pretty head, a long, thin neck, and wattles. She has a long, level topline and the super correct front end assembly that her sire, Dragon Heart, always throws. At her first show, Dragonfly won Grand Champion Junior and then won RsCH Junior Doe at the 2005 Emilee Hammon Memorial Show. There are seven Master Champions in this doe's immediate pedigree. She is an absolute keeper, even though not friendly, being one of just four does that her dam, Stella, produced, two of which are finished champions. Stella was sold back to her breeder, Holly Burke, and I don't believe ever produced another doe. She has been deceased for several years. See Stella on our Reference Does Pages. Dragon Heart can be seen on his own page. This time she is in the breeding pen with CHW CJS Douglas Fairbanks for an Oct-Dec 2011 kidding. We will retain a doe kid, and wouldn't mind having a buck kid. This should be a great combination. They are both very dairy animals and Fairbanks has the depth of body that she needs more of. Next time maybe Flying Dutchman for a 2012 kidding. | |
